MP Raju Bista held a meeting with BSNL officials at the BSNL office in Siliguri, discussing various issues. Later, he addressed the press. Darjeeling MP Raju Bista strongly criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and TMC's All India General Secretary.
He claimed that the meeting held at Netaji Indoor Stadium was essentially a preparation for Mamata Banerjee’s defeat in the 2026 elections. According to him, this will be the first time that the Chief Minister will face a loss.
Raju Bista alleged that even during the CPM regime, the state did not face as many difficulties as it has under Mamata Banerjee’s three-term rule. He further accused the Chief Minister of indulging in appeasement politics to win elections. Raju Bista claimed that while TMC is strategizing for elections with a 30% vote target, BJP is moving forward with a 70% vote target.
